A Crown Grant is the first freehold Land Title that was divided or sold by the Crown, either under the General Law system or the Torrens system. Parish and Township plan known is Record Plans are subdivisions of Crown land, used mainly for the purpose of granting or leasing Crown land. Crown Plan Deeds may show survey drawings illustrating the land boundaries and physical features of specific parcels of land and may include references to early tenures and ownership of the land. The plans date back to 1792 and earlier.
To obtain a Crown Plan Deed it is required that you view the Parish map in https://hlrv.nswlrs.com.au/ search either by a Lot on Plan, Index number, or Parish.
Upon locating the parish map and portion, you will need to locate the Lot on Plan in the Index (below)
Look for the Crown Grant – Vol/Fol:

Eg Lot is 249 Plan 6979 = Grown Grant 6201-177, this can be ordered as a Prior Title Search under Land & Property Information:

Ordering 6201-177 will provide you with an option to obtain the Current or Prior Title, choosing Prior will allow you to obtain the Crown Plan Deed.
